5th Annual A D King Youth Empowerment Parade 2018

The A.D. King Foundation will host its 5th  Annual Youth Empowerment Parade on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

 Rev.  A.D. King, the deceased brother of Dr. Martin Luther King, was committed to empowering children through education mentoring and entrepreneurship.. 

 According to Dr. Babs Onabanjo, President and Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, the purpose of the parade is to engage our youth in civic activities, appreciation of African-American Heritage, Civil and Human Rights Movements and to create awareness and opportunities for youth mentoring, holistic educational development and entrepreneurship.

 We encourage high schools, middle schools, Technical Colleges & Universities band and Cheer leader teams to participate. Washington High (ADK & MLK alumni) and Morris Brown College(Strategic Center for the Civil Rights Movement) bands and cheer leaders will lead the parade. The parade is free to high, middle and college bands and cheer leaders. All youth organizations can participate free of charge.

It is regrettable, the event has been cancelled. No further information is available. The African Diaspora World Tourism (ADWT) Awards and Travel Expo, will once again take place on August 26-28th, 2016 in Atlanta, Ga. (USA).  After the success of the inaugural awards that was attended by people from around the world, the prestigious ADWT-Awards event will again be presented by African Diaspora Tourism with publisher Kitty J. Pope as the founder/director and executive producer of the historical event. Co-presenter is the AD King Foundation and its Co-Founder/CEO Dr. Babs Onabanjo who serves as ADWT-Awards executive producer/ producer.

2nd Annual Youth Empowerment Health Fair Summit: Youth Leadership

A D King Foundation announced the hosting of the 2nd Annual Youth Empowerment Health Fair Summit on Sunday, July 30, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This event will feature FREE health services for the youth and will take place at Town Hall: Riverdale Recreational Center 7210 Church Street, Riverdale GA 30274. The focus will be on “keeping our youth healthy”. Screening will include mental health, substance abuse, obesity, depression, suicide, HIV/AIDS, Cholesterol, vision, dental, (parents screening, Prostate (PSA), breast cancer), and much more.

There will be a town-hall meeting at 4:00 pm to begin the dialogue on matters that impact our youth, such as school dropout, music, violent video games, teen pregnancy, depressions, dreams, goals, college careers, entrepreneur ships, and guns. This session will include The Youth Leadership of The A. D. King Foundation.

Join me, Mrs. Naomi King and the A. D. King Youth Leadership, to learn about "keeping our youth healthy" through dreams actualization and goal-setting strategies and by providing support services such as Coaching, Mentoring, Intervention Methods, & Career Counseling. The Global Heart Network: Working together to become part of the solution in the Fight Against Heart Disease in Low and Middle Income. Prevention strategies, healthy living and life style initiatives. Blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose levels, vital signs and more.
